Toyota Camry vs. Honda Accord
Performance
This year, the Toyota Camry lineup shifts into an all-hybrid lineup. The Honda Accord models have half the lineup using a gasoline-powered turbocharged engine and the other half using a hybrid powertrain. To skip the confusion, choose a new Camry model and enjoy the same strength and sensibility in every model.
Under the hood, the new Camry lineup uses a hybrid drivetrain that uses a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine that's paired with an electric motor on each axle. This system combines to produce 225-horsepower and 232 pounds-feet of torque. The Honda Accord LX and EX models have a turbocharged 1.5-liter engine with 192-horsepower and 192 pounds-feet of torque. The Accord Hybrid Sport, Sport-L, and Touring models have a hybrid powertrain that pairs a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with electric motors to produce 204-horsepower and 247 pounds-feet of torque.
To help you take on the poor weather conditions and dirt roads around Shreveport, LA with greater ease, all the new Toyota Camry models come with standard all-wheel drive, providing you with the utmost traction, control, and handling regardless of where you're driving. The Honda Accord lineup only offers front-wheel drive, which could leave you wanting for more when facing bad driving conditions.
Technology Features
The new Toyota Camry sedan lineup is built to provide you with more comfort and convenience on the road, which includes connectivity and having full control. That's why all the new Camry models come with a cutting-edge infotainment system. The Honda Accord lineup also has a standard infotainment system, but the touchscreen options are different. The Camry has a standard 8-inch touchscreen display on the base LE and SE models. All other Camry models use a larger 12.3-inch touchscreen display. The Honda Accord has a standard 7-inch touchscreen display, with an a 12.3-inch touchscreen available on higher trim levels.
Safety Features
Both the Toyota Camry and Honda Accord models have a full suite of driver assistance features in every model. However, the Camry lineup provides more confidence and awareness for Longview drivers with standard blind-spot warning with rear cross-traffic alert. The Honda Accord doesn't offer blind-spot warning standard, only on the EX trim level models and up. Another advantage for the Camry lineup is every model comes with adaptive cruise control with low-speed follow, which maintains a set distance between your vehicle and the one in front all the way until you're completely stopped. The Accord has standard adaptive cruise control, but it keeps a set distance in certain situations then will alert you.
