The Tacoma has two engine options for customers in Longview, TX, to choose from. A standard 2.7-liter four-cylinder engine produces 159 horsepower and 180 pound-feet of torque. An available 3.5-liter  V-6 engine produces 278 horsepower and 265 pound-feet of torque. The standard I-4 engine is paired with a six-speed automatic transmission, while the V-6 engine can be paired with either a six-speed automatic transmission or a six-speed manual transmission. Rear-wheel drive is standard, while four-wheel drive is available for customers who want to maximize traction. Tacoma models with rear-wheel drive have a maximum towing capacity of 6,800 pounds, while models with four-wheel drive can tow up to 6,500 pounds. The Tacoma boasts a maximum payload capacity of 1,685 pounds.

Trim Levels

There are six Tacoma trim levels:

• SR: Includes a standard 2.7-liter I-4 engine, 16-inch steel wheels, a six-speed automatic transmission, a seven-inch infotainment touchscreen, and Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™
• SR5: Adds 16-inch alloy wheels, heated side mirrors, fog lights, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and an available 10-way power driver's seat with two-way power lumbar support.
• TRD Sport: Adds 17-inch alloy wheels, LED daytime running lights, a wireless charging pad, a standard 10-way power driver's seat, and remote start via a smartphone.
• TRD Off-Road: Adds a TRD off-road suspension with Bilstein shocks, available Multi-Terrain Select with Crawl Control and five modes (Rock, Rock & Dirt, Mogul, Loose Rock, and Mus & Sand), and an electronic locking rear differential.
• Limited: Adds leather upholstery, a Panoramic View Monitor, a premium JBL audio system, and a blind-spot monitor.
• TRD Pro: Adds a TRD-tuned suspension, FOX shocks, a TRD cat-back exhaust, and Rigid Industry LED fog lights.
